Our Story

Our history of renewal

Home Sweet Home Ministries has provided food, shelter and hope to the hungry, homeless and hurting in our community for over 100 years. Since opening on Thanksgiving Day in 1917, Home Sweet Home Ministries has extended Christ's love to thousands of people who were in need of a fresh start.

Home Sweet Home also affects the environment in a significant way through our recycling and salvage programs. In 2019, we recycled nearly 1.3 million pounds of materials, including cardboard, textiles and electronics. The net proceeds from this effort directly supports the work we do at Home Sweet Home.

Home Sweet Home has not only taken the initiative to be green, but to help the community as well.
